Arriving in Berlin
There are two airports in Berlin: Tegel and Schönefeld.
The trip from Schönefeld to the Residency in Pankow takes about an hour by train. You can take the S-Bahn (train) S9 from the airport directly to Pankow. You buy the ticket on the platform at the ticket-machine. Don’t forget to stamp the ticket before you enter the S-Bahn. When you reach Pankow the Center for Ceramics is about a ten minute walk from the station.
The trip from the Tegel airport to the Center for Ceramics will take you 15-20 minutes and taxis are readily available outside the airport entrance at a cost of 20-25 €. A 10% tip for the driver is typical in Germany.
