CHRISTOPHER WATT - - '''' Christopher was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in Halifax, Canada and holds a three year diploma in Art, Craft and Design from Kootenay School of the Arts at Selkirk College in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. Upon completeing his BFA he was a studio assistant to Betty Woodman for two consecutive winters in New York City. Christopher’s individual works explore the functional, cultural and ideological logics that produce popular notions of pleasure and beauty. His works have been exhibited in Vancouver, Montreal and Halifax. |
